Mistaken Credit Report by Verizon

I used the 5G wireless service last year and returned the device last October.  However, I still received the bill from Verizon. The customer service told me to wait since it takes time for warehouse to update. What did I wait for exactly? The debt notice from collection company and credit report from almost 800 to 579 ! ! So I went to the customer service and they told me back to the store I returned the device and let them document the evidence! But I already moved? Or why would I gave up the service?? So I back to the store and print the document and also send a copy to Verizon. The recovery still didn‘t finished and it took a LONG time.  I don't know what else they need to do since the device was exactly returned and it's under my name. Is it really difficult for you to commit your mistake and help me do the recovery?
