Does Verizon’s 5G Work Well for Traveling?

Hi everyone,
I travel a lot for work, and I was hoping that Verizon 5G would provide fast and reliable service in different cities. However, I’ve noticed that coverage and speeds can vary a lot. For those who travel frequently, how has your Verizon 5G experience been? Do you rely on it, or do you still need Wi-Fi in some areas?
Thanks!

We want your 5G service to work well where you need it, ChloeHaynes. 5G may not be available in every area yet. You can check out our 5G coverage map here, https://www.verizon.com/coverage-map/. Please tell us more about what happened when connected to 5G and using your service.

Well...first of all, Verizon's 5G network still isn't the size of the other guys. So if you're wanting 5G everywhere...
Otherwise, it depends on the service plan you have and the city you're in. The really good 5G spectrum is mostly a big city thing and you have to be on Unlimited Plus or Unlimited Ultimate before you get to use it.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

Thanks, Danielle! I checked the coverage map, and it looks like 5G isn’t available in my area yet. I’ll keep an eye on it and hopefully, the service improves soon.

Nothing about Verizon’s 5G works well. No matter where you are. I’m in the middle of a large city and my phone is on LTE a good 80% of the time. The rest of the time, it says 5G, but it certainly doesn’t feel like it. I need WiFi nearly everywhere I go. I recently switched from T-Mobile, and I had extremely fast 5G most places with them. Meanwhile, Verizon is constantly trying to push new products on you. Verizon has lost its way, they are just a hot mess. If you haven’t already switched, I’d highly suggest thinking twice. It’s a daily disappointment.
