Porting Number Over

I hope someone from Verizon actually reads this, I have been trying to port my number from ATT over for a week now. Last Saturday I was told everything was fine, only to realize yesterday they still hadn't ported it over. Had it ported over AGAIN yesterday and it's been about an hour shy of 24 hr, I have NO service from my old provider or Verizon. I have tried chatting in several times only to be on hold for an hour so far.

How on earth can I check the status? I found a post where they had a link but it just brought me to advertising on how to open an account, and that was by a verizon agent.

Hello js127, you can check your port status by visiting us at this link: https://www.verizon.com/switch-to-verizon/check-status/

If it's been this long, I'd first check with AT&T to see if there isn't something going on with them.  There are very rare instances in which a number cannot be ported.  If the number is able to be ported, but you were using the first transfer PIN generated over a week ago, that PIN has expired, so you'd need a new one before the port will work.

Is your phone unlocked?  If it's not, then you need to get AT&T to unlock it.

Verizon's Porting Department can be reached at 888-844-7095.  Sometimes things go awry with eSIM-only phones where they need to get you a new eSIM, or maybe they need to redo the port...again.
