Billing Issue/overpayment/double charges

I am furious. I have been double charged by Verizon multiple times. They have hung up on me while trying to resolve with no call back from the agent who was from the billing department that was on the call. I am ready to switch to a phone carrier that does not rob their customers. Has anyone else had this experience of overpaying and double charges? How did you resolve?
