We want to make sure we can clear up any questions you have. Is this for your Fios home service? Where are you seeing this plan?

This is not my home fios plan. I help and am poa for a 93 year old woman in Johnston RI zip code is 02919. I pay her bills for her and have seen that she is on a 90 minuute measured plan. All calls over 90 minutes she pays approximately .03 cents per minute. At 93 years old this does bother her. Back to my question, "Does verizon home phone "measured plan" count incoming and outgoing calls?" Any help is appreciated. I am also a Verizon FIOS customer.

Hi, it's been a long time since I had a landline, but I do remember the days when you could get a landline that was metered as one of my family members had one like that. And from what I can remember, any calls incoming and outgoing are counted towards the minutes. Which means if there are a lot of spam calls coming in, would suggest changing to a non-metered line.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

I believe incoming calls typically don’t count toward a “measured” plan’s minutes usually only outgoing calls are counted. But it really depends on the exact plan terms. It’s worth checking your contract or contacting Verizon support to confirm for your specific plan.

Hi rlmccaughey, we want to be able to answer any questions that you have regarding the “measured plan” that your friend has. If we may please confirm if your friend has a cellular phone or if this is a landline, so we can review the plan information with you as soon as possible.. -Dee
