Retrieving data

Is it possible to retrieve old text messages (sms) or blackberry messenger messages? I have a personal issue and was just wondering? If it is possible, how far back can I go? Thanks

You can retrieve txt and sms as far back as your backups go.  Other than that, deleted sms and BBIM msgs are gone for good.

I should clarify. Is it possible for VW to be able to go back and get these messages?
