Can't activate remote DVR access

Weird situation, have googled the specific error I'm getting, no hits whatsoever. Here's the deal,
* Had FIOS at my home for about a year, until we had a fire last November and had to move into a rental.
* Transferred the account to the rental.
* Got the FIOS iPhone app when it came out and used remote DVR access succesfully.
* Now we're moving back into the house, and because we needed internet there before we fully moved out of the rental, we had to set up a new, second account.
So, we're back in the original house, with a new FIOS account, and I've (maybe stupidly) deleted and reinstalled the iPhone app. When I start it up, it wants me to activate remote DVR by entering a code on either the TV or the internet. If I enter the code on the TV, I get this error message:
"TN already registered with another customer"
If I go the internet route, it shows the DVR as already having remote DVR enabled.
What can I do?

The process Keyboards describes would be good for reasserting the UPnP mappings on the router which is necessary for the remote DVR software to function, but I doubt it will fix this specific situation since it would seem to be a mapping within the Verizon network itself that needs to be deleted so that the associated with your old box is removed.
I poked around a bit on the website (TV Central) and found under "DVR" the "Mobile Access" tab. If you choose that, a screen will come up telling you about ways to manage your DVR remotely and there is a link there in the second paragraph titled "Register your Mobile Device". If I click this link, I am taken to another screen which shows the activations that I current have in place along with a confirmation code and the option to edit or remove the activation.
Perhaps if you go to your "old" account and remote the activation there, you will then be able to come to the new account and make the new association.

Try this (I know it sounds crazy):
- Disable Remote DVR.
- Reboot the box (either from the menu or pull the power cord) not just turn it off
- After it finishes booting, re-renable remote DVR.
When I had problems with mine (due to a bum router it turns out) that is what I needed to do to get both remote DVR to work again and CID.
Hope that works for you.

Thanks for the reply (I have a feeling I'm replying with the wrong account, but it's me. But: how do I deactivate Remote DVR? The orginal account is (supposedly) canceled, and the DVR on the new account does not, via the settings menu, show up as having Remote DVR enabled -- but it does via the Verizon website. Is there a way to deactivate it from there?
I guess I could plug the old box in at the new location (haven't mailed it back yet) and see if I can deactivate it there...
