Received an email about this new feature 7/21/11 - Interactive Media Guide. It stated in part:
"Your set-top box will automatically reset to accommodate the new on-screen guide and additional features in the early morning hours of your upgrade. Therefore, you may hear or see your set-top box resetting, but don't worry — you are not experiencing a technical issue."
When I turned on my tv in the afternoon of 7/22, I did not have the new features! I re-read the email & noted that it also states:
"New features are not available on Motorola QIP 2500 P1 and QIP 2500 P2 set-top box models. You can find your model number on the front of your set-top box in the lower left corner."
All three of my set top boxes are Motorola QIP 2500 P3. My questions are.......
Is this new feature available in my county - Cherry Hill, N.J.?
Or is my set top boxes model excluded even though it's not mentioned as being so on the email?

That card you received didn't give a date. It was telling you of an upcoming change. The change for your area is due on Tuesday.

Sure didn't. Now that is the one thing I didn't notice. ![]()
Thank you for advising when the "day" of when this change will take place.

I think this Verizon strike is affecting everyone in the tri-state areas regarding receiving the new media guide. I never received it on 7/26/11 as indicated.
I noticed the "new media guide" announcement has also vanished from the remote "menu" guide.
You would think that Verizon FIOS would provide some type of "update" in the "New Message" menu section. ![]()

I am in Bucks county PA.
Received same message on July 21 from Verizon regarding **The New FiOS Interactive Media Guide**
Nothing changed. Same old guide. Very disappointed.

Nothing here in NJ yet, but the striking Verizon workers went back to work today, maybe that will spur some activity.

Actually they go back to work Monday evening per the news release. But yes, after a few days of getting ramped back up I would expect to see something start happening. My guess is in the next two weeks, but nobody outside Verizon really knows, and they may not yet.

We got it here this week and we do not like it at all. The guide colors are bad and make it hard to read the listings. It is also much slower reacting when you try to move up and down thru the listings. The settings are harder to navigate thru menus and nothing about it is worthy of all the hype. We would prefer to go back to the way it was. This new setup really is bad!
