Does any one know the status of maximum # of STBs allowed on one account. I tried to order an additional STB and could not. I have a desire to expand to 9 and no one at Verizon can give me a solid answer. I currently have 8 - switched out some DCT700 media boxes for STBs and now the last one cannot get the guide.
BTW - when I signed up I had my house wired for 9 drops yet no one at Verizon mentioned there was a limit

There is currently a limit of 8 MOCA devices (Actiontec counts as 1 and each QIP series counts as one). There should not be a limit on the number of DCT-700s since they are not MOCA devices (don't receive IP information over the cable). That being said, Verizon may impose an arbitrary limit which I can't speak to.
The reason you can't get guide on STB 8 is because you have exceeded the maximum number of IP devices allowed in the MOCA chain.
