Does anyone know if Verizon is going to introduce an expanded Multi-Room DVR, similiar to Time Warner or Cablevision. Those DVR's can record upto 12 shows at that same time? Verizon needs to keep up with the competition in order to retain and attach new customers.

In January of this year Verizon showed the Verizon Media Server at the CES Show in Las Vegas.

This was promised to be out around now but has been delayed.  I have no idea when and I'm in complete agreement that VZ needs to come out with something real soon or folks are going to migrate away.  Cablevision offers a DVR that will allow up to 10 shows at the same time and allow MRDVR.  For me when my two years is up (mar 2014), I will need to consider staying or leaving based upon the availability of a new STB (or VMS) with greater capabilities and the price of such new services.

Already a bunch of threads on this topic. Check this one out. The very last post has a link to a good article.

I know they were having issues with the fcc/courts getting it rolled out, but have no idea if that's still part of the issue.
