Poor picture quality

Just switched from Comcast to FIOS. Have Panasonic 42" Plasma 1080P TV and had perfect reception on Comcast. Now not getting perfect reception. It does not look like 1080i but instead I think I ma getting 720p. Very fuzzy around the edges and a little streaking. Never, ever had these issues before with Comcast. Supposedly the quality of the picture is upposed to be better with FIOS. Maybe there is a setup issue.? Using the HD STB with HDMI and have setting on video on STB to 1080i. Tech was in during install and said signal quality (with his tester) was excellent. We went to the remote and chagned the video from 720P on the STB to 1080i. They both looked the same on any changgel:

some questions:

1) After changing the video setting does the STB need to be power cycled????

2) How can I tell what signal I am seeing on FIOS? (720P or 1080i)

Kymass,

Try pressing menu then go the help and run the diagnostic info and see what that says. Need the OOB or SNR reading.

Once I get home from work I will do that. Very frustrating after having had such a clear picture only a few days ago with Comcast with the idetial cables and TV setup. Nothing has changed only the provider. If it does say 1080i then where do we go from there? becaseu the quality of the icture on HD is unacceptable. Hopefully it is something really simple that fixes it.
