I have intemittent closed captioning, mainly during movies, but right now it's happening on the Bravo HD channel.
How do know whether it's the TV or the service?
You can tell a few different ways. If your STB is black then the STB has no closed caption capability built in, so it's the tv. If your STB is silver then it does have CC built in. You can go to menu -> settings -> accessibility and check the CC there to see if it is on or off. If it is off then it is coming from either the broadcast or your TV. If it is on then turn it off.
