Have you been having slow navigation with the old sd stb Motorola QIP 2500-P3

I have found that if you connect the stb via video cable instead of rf cable the speed improves dramatically, still not perfect but much better than connecting via cable connection.Try it you should see an improvement.

Best Regards

Thanks for pointing this out, and I ask that you please clarify so I may try it.  Do you mean "S-video cable" when you list "video cable"?  Also, by "rf cable" do you mean "coax cable"?

Yes the coax cable. Use any output except the coax output.

Thanks, but didn't help me.  It is equally slow and painful  via RCA cables as it is via coax.  Apparently, Verizon support is clueless about the SD STB being this slow.  I contacted support, and they actually sent me a replacement box, which of coursIsis no better than the first one.  It's no wonder its free for life, it's nearly unusable.  Luckily I rarely use this one in the bedroom.

THey are well aware the boxes are slow particularly after the 1.9 upgrade.   And speed is not really effected by how they connect to your TV.

Consider getting a HD box (preferably a 7000 series).

No, apparently not all of them are aware of this problem since the tech that I talked to actually shipped me a replacement box after being online with me for over an hour troubleshooting.  Truth be told, I knew changing the connection method to the TV wouldn't make a difference, but I was willing to try anything at that point.  I already have the HD boxes for the living room, basement, etc. and even those boxes have been slow to respond and freeze up lately.  That seems intermittent though and a power cycle always fixes that.  Annoying as hell, but at least there's a workaround.  The SD box is always slow.

The "free" SD box is in my bedroom.  I hardly use it, but it would still be nice if it worked properly.
